A chain reaction collision involving four vehicles resulted in serious but non-life-threatening injuries for one driver on Monday, March 10, 2025.
Frontenac OPP responded to the crash just after 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Road 38 and Bellrock Road in Verona. Emergency crews, including Frontenac County Paramedics and South Frontenac Fire Rescue, used the jaws of life to extricate two people from the wreckage.
According to a witness, a vehicle traveling east on Bellrock Road failed to yield at the intersection, striking a southbound vehicle on Road 38. The impact forced that vehicle into the opposite lane, colliding with two northbound vehicles in a chain reaction crash.
The intersection was closed for two hours while emergency crews cleared the scene. The investigation remains ongoing, and charges are pending. Authorities urge drivers to exercise caution at intersections to prevent similar incidents.
