Twenty-five people in Hastings-Lennox and Addington have received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for their contributions to the community.
Local MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman presented the medals as part of a program recognizing 30,000 Canadians who have made a difference in their province, region or country. The medal marks the coronation of King Charles III on May 6, 2023.
Kramp-Neuman said it was an honour to recognize community builders and leaders through this special award. She thanked both the recipients and nominees for their dedication, calling them the “backbone of our community.”
The program allows Parliamentarians to highlight local heroes whose efforts bring pride and benefit to Canada.

Charles Mark Hazleton, Ken Hook, the late Daryl Kramp, Patricia Lochnan, Doris Lucas, Maha Majeed, Rick Phillips, Lieutenant Richard Philips, Timothy Porter, Stephanie Regent-LeSage, Major Robert Ryan, Rev.Canon Smith, Judy Striker, Mark Wilson & Dora Yateman.
