It was a cool -8°C with the windchill when the community gathered at Trinity United Church in Greater Napanee to walk in support of the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY).
myFM spoke with Lynda Carney, who told us it was exciting to see the crowd of walkers out Saturday evening.
As the walkers began their march, a total of $95,681 had been raised towards their goal of $100,000.
In the days leading up to the walk, the money raised was sky rocketing! Carney joked she and the team were wearing out their refresh buttons on the CNOY web page as they watched the number continue to climb.
As of the time we’re publishing this article, the walk has raised over $100,000 in support of the Morningstar Mission!
Funds raised are instrumental to what Morningstar does on a day-to-day basis.
It’s not to late to make a donation! If you’d like to support, visit CNOY.org/Napanee.
