At its annual general meeting on January 29, 2025, the Full Authority Board of Cataraqui Conservation elected Paul Proderick as its new chair. Outgoing chair Gary Oosterhof was elected vice-chair.
Proderick, a Ward 3 councillor for Loyalist Township, previously served as vice-chair for two years and has been active in municipal and community committees. He expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing his commitment to supporting conservation initiatives and engaging communities with nature.
Oosterhof, a Kingston city councillor, has served on the board since 2017. Reflecting on his tenure, he highlighted achievements such as the organization’s 60th anniversary, a new administration office, and key strategic initiatives.
Both leaders look forward to advancing conservation efforts in the region. Cataraqui Conservation remains committed to protecting natural resources and enhancing outdoor opportunities for residents
