Loyalist Link Transit Service is making a major change, switching from vans to buses starting today (Feb. 3) to offer more passenger seating.
The transit pilot program launched on Nov. 4, 2024, to improve transportation for residents in Bath, Odessa, and the Amherst Island Ferry Terminal in Millhaven. It also connects workers to the Taylor-Kidd Industrial Park and Loyalist East Business Park.
The service, operated by Loyalist Township under contract with Stock Transportation, runs until Dec. 31, 2025. It is funded by a $192,000 Community Transportation Grant, Lennox and Addington County’s Community Connection Funding, and Provincial Gas Tax funding.
Riders can use Kingston Transit fares. Township officials say the upgrade will enhance public transit options for commuters and local residents.
