A 23-year-old driver from Bath has been charged following a two-vehicle collision in Napanee this morning.
The crash occurred just before 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of County Road 2 and Palace Road, where traffic was heavy due to a Highway 401 detour. The collision took place in the middle of the intersection.
One of the drivers, an officer from the OPP Bancroft Detachment, suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital as a precaution. The officer was later released. The second driver was not injured.
After investigating the crash, police charged the 23-year-old civilian driver under the Highway Traffic Act for failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
