A routine traffic stop on Highway 401 near midnight on January 9, 2025, led Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers to seize drugs, weapons, and charge two individuals with 20 offences.
Lennox and Addington OPP stopped an eastbound speeding vehicle in Loyalist Township. Open alcohol was found inside, prompting a search that uncovered suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, LSD, MDMA, and an imitation weapon.
Bridget Docherty, 30, and a 17-year-old, both from St. Catharines, face six counts of drug possession for trafficking and a weapons-related charge.
Docherty was also charged with speeding, possessing unmarked cigarettes, and driving with liquor available. The accused was released with a February 11 court date.
The youth was additionally charged with violating probation and a release order. They were held for a January 10 bail hearing.
