Victim Services of Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington Counties (HPELA) has announced a leadership change.
Leah Morgan, who has served as Executive Director since 2022, will step down in January 2025 to become the Executive Director of Three Oaks Foundation.
Replacing Morgan is Stella Weese, a longtime advocate with over 15 years of experience as a Crisis Response Coordinator at Victim Services HPELA. Weese will officially assume the role on January 6, 2025.
Jeannie McQuaid, Chair of the Board of Directors, praised Morgan’s leadership and vision, acknowledging her lasting contributions to the organization. McQuaid expressed confidence in Weese’s ability to lead, highlighting her deep expertise and dedication to victim advocacy.
Weese aims to build on the organization’s mission of empowering and supporting victims of crime and trauma. Under her leadership, Victim Services HPELA is poised to continue its vital work with renewed energy and purpose.
