The Town of Greater Napanee is considering eliminating the $5.00 fee for dropping off recyclables at the South Fredericksburgh Waste Disposal Site and Roblin Waste Transfer Station. This change is part of Ontario’s Blue Box Transition program aimed at improving recycling systems.
Residents can find details about the proposed change in the December 10 Council Agenda on the Town’s website. The by-law will be reviewed during the Regular Session of Council on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at Town Hall, 124 John Street, Napanee, and will also be livestreamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.
The Town encourages public feedback. Questions or comments can be sent to Kristie Kelly, Director of Environmental Services, at kkelly@greaternapanee.com. Residents wishing to submit written feedback or register to speak must contact the Town Clerk at jwalters@greaternapanee.com by noon on January 13, 2025.
This initiative aligns with efforts to streamline recycling processes across Ontario.
