The man charged in September’s fatal attack outside the Integrated Care Hub in Kingston made a court appearance late last week.
Kingston man, Andre Wareham, appeared in court via video link from a detention centre in Napanee on October 4.
He faces serious charges, including two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. These charges stem from a tragic incident on Montreal Street on September 12, where a 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old man lost their lives in a stabbing attack.
The proceedings have been adjourn for two weeks. A lengthy no-contact order has also been issued against Wareham, preventing him from contacting anyone involved in the case.
The community remains shaken and has many questions about the violent events, as police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbings and a lengthy safety review is conducted at the HUB.
