Local residents of Ward 1 will have the chance to meet and question elected officials from Greater Napanee at St. Alban’s Centre in Adolphustown.
This open forum is scheduled for this Thursday, September 26th from 7 to 9 pm. Ward 1 Councillor Michael Schenk, Mayor Terry Richardson, and Deputy-Mayor Brian Calver will be in attendance.
Mayor Richardson shared with myFM he thinks this is a great idea, noting it’s a little bit old school.
Topics covered are expected to include taxation, homelessness, and town services such as garbage collection and recycling.
The mayor says it’s important to recognize we have a diverse municipality.
If other community groups in other wards wanted to host a similar style open forum, the mayor says that’d be a great idea.
Questions for this Thursday’s open forum can be submitted online or asked in person during the event.
This public forum is hosted by Friends of St. Alban’s Adolphustown (FOSAA), a registered charity that supports the community through various initiatives.
