Drugs seized in Odessa - Image from OPP
On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the Lennox and Addington County OPP made a significant drug seizure in Odessa. The East Region Community Street Crime Unit, along with L&A County OPP, executed a search warrant on Main Street, uncovering suspected cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and several cell phones. Additionally, suspected fentanyl was discovered on one accused during transport to the detachment.
Five individuals were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine: Joshua Gjelstad, 35, of Napanee; Amanda Holland, 44, of Odessa; James McMahon, 63, of Napanee; Shayna Hiddleston, 40, of Centre Hastings; and Corean Eatmon, 53, of Tyendinaga First Nation. Gjelstad faces additional charges of opioid trafficking and probation violations, while Holland has two counts of opioid trafficking. Gjelstad and Holland are held in custody pending a bail hearing, while the other three are released and scheduled to appear in court later.

Also on Thursday, September 12, just before 9am, L&A OPP charged two individuals found in a stolen vehicle on Salmon River Road in Napanee. Trevor Tucker, 47, from Lennox and Addington County, faces multiple charges, including possession of stolen property over $5,000, 13 counts of operating while prohibited, and possession of unmarked cigarettes. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Claude Roy, 64, of no fixed address, was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. Roy was released and is scheduled to appear in court on November 5, 2024.
