Prince Edward County OPP is investigating a death at Point Petre.
On Sunday just before 7 p.m., officers alongside Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service and Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue responded to the area of Point Petre for the report of distressed individuals in the water.
Additional assistance was provided by of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary.
A 35-year-old from Prince Edward County was pronounced deceased. The investigation is on-going.
