The Lennox and Addington OPP have charged four youths after they received complaints of dirt bikes driving erratically around the streets and lawns in Deseronto.
On July 11, 2024, an officer was made aware of dirt bikes in the area of Main Street and First Street in Deseronto. The bikes fled northbound on Deseronto Road. Thanks to help from Tyendinaga Police Service, officers later located the dirt bikes on Beach Road.
Two 14-year-olds and two 17-year-olds have been charged with:
- Off Road Vehicle – perform stunt by lifting some or all wheels off roadway
- Off Road Vehicle – no driver’s licence
- Off Road Vehicle – no insurance
- Off Road Vehicle – no plate/permit
All dirt bikes were towed from scene, with one dirt bike seized for 14 days for stunt driving.
The individuals are scheduled to appear at Youth Court in Greater Napanee at a later date.
