This year marks the 60th anniversary that the maple leaf has been on our flag. To celebrate this anniversary and Canada Day, the Lions Club of Land O’Lakes are working on a special project.
myFM spoke with Nawar Hage, who shared they wanted to plan something special.
President elect Red Emond gave us the rundown of how this project will work.
If you don’t have any red, don’t worry! They have a plan in place.
Then after the picture, Hage says they’ll be serving up a classic treat.
The fewest people they need to make the maple leaf is 200 people. But they’re hoping to see 500! If you’re planning on attending, you’re asked to RSVP in advance so they can have a rough estimate of how many people will be in attendance. You can contact the club at eventslionscluboflandolakes@gmail.com.
The event begins 10am July 1st at the club, located Highway 41, Northbrook. Everyone is welcome.
