A young band from Napanee is preparing for this weekend’s Youth Battle of the Bands at the Napanee Fairgrounds, coming off their recent win in Kingston.
On Saturday, May 11 Third Time’s a Charm won first place in the high school category at the annual Juvenis Festival Battle of the Bands competition.
Brock Pettifer, drummer for the band, told myFM the win felt very vindicating.
This win came on the eve of the release of their debut single, ‘Fading Innocence.’
Guitarist Joseph Hauser told us a bit about the recording process.
Now the band is getting ready for the Napanee Youth Battle of the Bands, scheduled for this Saturday, June 1st, at the Napanee Fair Grounds from 2-10pm.
Tickets for this Battle and vendor show cost $15 for those 13 and older, $10 for those 5-12, 4 and under are free, and a family pass (2 adults and 2 kids under 18) costs $20. 50% of all tickets sales goes to Harmony Lounge and Music Club. Tickets can be purchased online.
