Four people face over 500 charges after the OPP seized firearms and drugs at a Tyendinaga residence.
On May 24, 2024, police searched a Thrasher Road home and found nearly 200 grams of cocaine, over a kilogram of methamphetamine, almost 2000 grams of MDMA, along with heroin, psilocybin, and a large number of pills. They also seized nearly 100 firearms, some stolen and several loaded, as well as ammunition, cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Joshua Boldrick, 27, Matthew Boldrick, 30, Terry Boldrick, 58, and Sharon Boldrick, 58, all from Tyendinaga Township, were arrested and charged.
In total, 508 Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges were laid including:
- Possession of a non-restricted or restricted firearm without a license – 100 counts
- Knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm – 100 counts
- Unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm – 68 counts
- Unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose – 68 counts
- Possession of a firearm that was obtained by the commission of an offence – 24 counts
- Possession of a firearm for the purpose of trafficking – four counts
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order – 30 counts
- Careless storage of a firearm – 21 counts
- Possession of stolen property – 28 counts
- Tampering with a serial number
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – heroin – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs – four counts
All accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
