Repairs to damages to the LaSalle Causeway in Kingston continue as the first repair phase is ongoing.
The first phase is focusing on strengthening various elements of the bridge.
The second phase of repairs will focus damage that was done to the diagonal steel element and further strengthening the structure.
Public Services and Procurement Canada are anticipating another 8 to 10 weeks before work is complete.
Options are being explored for resumption of traffic and pedestrians.
Repair timeline is subject to change.
