The Lennox and Addington OPP recently charged two drivers with impaired driving.
On Tuesday morning around 11am, officers received reports of a vehicle swerving on Highway 401 eastbound. They stopped the vehicle before the County Road 41 exit and arrested the driver for impaired driving. The 57-year-old from Scarborough was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, and with a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
Later that day, around 10:00 p.m., officers received a report of another vehicle driving erratically near County Road 41 and Community Road. Police arrested the driver at a nearby business. A 64-year-old from North Frontenac Township was charged with the same offenses.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee at a later date.
