Cataraqui Conservation has issued an update on the water safety statement due to high water levels and flows in lakes and streams in the area.
Heavy rain in the past two weeks has raised stream flows and lake levels, with some dams reaching maximum capacity.
Stay away from dams, fast-flowing water, and stormwater ponds, and be cautious near creek banks and lake shores.
While widespread flooding isn’t expected, localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
This warning is in effect until April 24.
