Over the long weekend, the Prince Edward County OPP charged three individuals with impaired driving offenses.
On Saturday, just before 2:30 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 4. Following an investigation, 67-year-old David Kettle from Prince Edward County, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit.
Later that same day, shortly before midnight, officers stopped a vehicle on Main Street Picton and spoke with the driver. 36-year-old Robert Laine from Prince Edward County was charged with similar offenses after an investigation.
Then on Sunday, March 31, officers stopped a vehicle on County Road 1 and spoke with the driver. 44-year-old Chuck Keeping from Orangeville faced the same charges following an investigation.
The drivers were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date. Additionally, their licenses were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded for seven days.
