In Napanee Minor Hockey action, the Goodyear U13 Napanee Stars reached the semi-finals of the OMHA Provincial championships, but lost 8-3 to Wallaceburg. Earlier, they defeated Drayton 6-5, Penetang 5-0, and tied East Lampton, the eventual winners, 2-2.
The Cpk Interior Products U11 Napanee Stars also lost in the semi-finals, 2-1 to the Mid-Huron Huskies. In round robin, they shut out Wasaga Beach 3-0, lost to the champions, Mount Forest, 6-0, and tied Newcastle 5-5. These teams capped off a great winter of hockey to be third in the province in Tier 2.
