The Correctional Service of Canada has reported the death of an inmate at Bath Institution.
65-year-old Ian Smith had been serving an indeterminate sentence which began on January 23rd of 2020, for aggravated assault and breach of long-term supervision order at the time of his passing.
No cause of death has been released.
The inmates next of kin have been notified, along with police and the coroner.
