Napanee’s Leroy Blugh has entered the Football Ontario Hall of Fame for players.
He excelled at NDSS Golden Hawks and Bishop’s University, winning the Most Outstanding Defensive Player award three times in the OQIFC league.
In his 15-year CFL career with the Toronto Argonauts and Edmonton Eskimos, Blugh won the Grey Cup in 1993 with Edmonton and the CFL Most Outstanding Canadian award. Transitioning to coaching, he achieved success, securing another Grey Cup victory with Ottawa in 2016. Recently, he’s been coaching at Queens University.
Blugh’s impressive achievements earned him spots in the Napanee Hall of Fame, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the 2023 Football Ontario Hall of Fame class.
