The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation is being kept very busy lately, hosting and planning fundraisers to help keep healthcare close to home.
On Giving Tuesday this year they set a goal to raise $10,000 in one day, and the community came together to raise over $14,000!
Their monthly 50/50 raffle saw their highest ever pot for their November draw at $13,750. Tickets are currently on sale for their December draw.
myFM spoke with Amanda Chalk, Foundation Program Coordinator, who says all of these funds raised are going to support their campaign for the hospital’s first MRI machine.
If you’re a local business or group who’d like to throw your own fundraiser for the MRI, Chalk says you can give the foundation a call and they can certainly help. She told us about two community partners right now who are supporting the foundations campaign.
And new this spring, save the date for May 26, 2024.
