A man has been charged after L&A OPP responded to a report of a person barricaded in an RV on Dairy Ave in Greater Napanee.
One Tuesday the OPP Emergency Response Team and local officers arrived, engaging with the lone male inside the RV, who had earlier mentioned having a rifle.
For public safety, Dairy Avenue was closed. At 1 p.m., the police successfully persuaded the man out of the RV without incident with no firearm found. The investigation continues.
As a result, Burton Irving, a 62-year-old from Kingston, has been charged with uttering death threats. The accused will be held for a bail hearing.
