As winter draws near and temperatures fall, many community members depend on donated coats to stay warm. United Way KFL&A is urging the community to join in and support the fourth annual coat drive.
myFM spoke with coordinator Doug Nesbitt, who told us this is their 4th year collecting winter coats.
The United Way is looking for donations of adult winter jackets of any size.
Items can be dropped off in collection bins from October 23rd to November 13th. Nesbitt tells us where you can drop off your jackets.
This is Nesbitt’s second year involved with the drive, and he said it’s very moving.
