Looking back on the last 60 years, keeping healthcare close to home wouldn’t be possible without the help of the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Volunteer Services.
On Saturday the group celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Current president Marg Isbester says that 60 years of continuous service and support of a huge accomplishment.
Local politicians joined volunteers to thank them and celebrate this milestone.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman shared that though volunteers don’t always have the time, they do have a tremendous amount of heart.
H-L&A MPP Ric Bresee commented to the crowd of volunteers the amount of comfort they bring to patients during a time of discomfort.
To mark the occasion, Isbester had the pleasure of making a big announcement in support of the MRI campaign. $60,000! This will go a long way towards the $3.5 million campaign.
