A province wide survey is currently taking place, looking at daycares across Ontario and what supports they need.
Like many other sectors, staffing issues plague the profession and this survey, in part, is looking at ways to get more people in daycare setting and then keep them there.
Dr. Emis Akbari, spoke to us about the Knowing Our Numbers survey that is currently being circulated.
She said Early Childhood Educators are understaffed, underpaid, and undervalued – and these need to be addressed if you want to keep daycares open.
