In a concerning incident near Napanee District Secondary School, two students were injured, one of them seriously, following a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
It happened on Belleville Road, leading to a temporary closure by the police for thorough investigation. However, as of now, the road has been reopened.
Police have now confirmed that the driver of the motorcycle sustained the most serious injuries.
The school promptly notified all NDSS families via email to keep them informed about the incident. Furthermore, both the school and the Limestone District School Board (LDSB) are actively collaborating to offer support to the affected students and staff.
To address the emotional and psychological needs of the students and staff, LDSB Educational Services’ student support counselors have been called in.
Police continue their investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
