Artist Shane Goudreau joins Legion president Peggy Sunstrum for the unveiling
The mural on the back of the Napanee Legion was officially unveiled to the public yesterday afternoon.
Peggy Sunstrum, President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 137, thanked all who helped make this possible.
This project was possible thanks to the Town of Greater Napanee, Atura Power, and the I Heart Main Street Program. Also thanks to artist Shane Goudreau.
Family members of the veterans featured in the mural were also in attendance for the celebration.
Kevin Hillman, Napanee Generation Station Operations Manager, says Atura is committed to positively contributing to the communities where they work and live.
Greater Napanee Mayor Terry Richardson says this mural is the piece to the puzzle of a community.
Goudreau joined for the unveiling and commented that what started as a smaller mural grew as he went.
