A new Automated External Defibrillator, or AED, has been installed for public use in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
myFM was in attendance for the ribbon cutting, where Brittany Brant from the Community Health PADs Program, shared that this is the second they have made available in the community.
The new AED is located on the Home Support Activity Centre. The first was made available at the Sports Complex on York Road earlier this summer.
The Centre previously had an AED, which Brant says wasn’t as user friendly.
The new AED is located on the exterior of the building for anyone in need to use.
This project wouldn’t be possible without the help of their sponsors Village Variety and Gas Bas and Tyendinaga Propane.
