A search warrant on a South Frontenac Township property led to the recovery of various tools and the arrest of two people.
The OPP Community Street Crime Unit searched an address on Mount Chesney Road on September 6, 2023 and seized several tools, such as drills, chainsaws and a sawmill. They also found firearms and ammunition that were stored carelessly.
Ashley McCallum, 34, and Kevin Heim, 32, both from South Frontenac Township, face multiple charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.
Heim also faces additional charges of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm.
They were released from custody and will appear in court in Kingston on October 19, 2023.
