Thanks to bursaries from Dairy Farmers of Ontario, outstanding members of the Ontario Hockey Association will be able to further their post-secondary education.
The bursary program is funded directly by MilkUP, which recognizes young athletes who show leadership in building strong and healthy communities, demonstrate high academic achievement, are dedicated to and have a passion for hockey.
There are eight bursaries being handed out, worth $6,000 each.
Lindsay Stakes from the Picton Pirates is one of this year’s recipients, and is the first trainer to receive the bursary.
Other recipients include:
- Nicholas Graniero (LaSalle Vipers, GOJHL)
- Cameron Lytle (Mount Forest Patriots, PJHL)
- Marc-Olivier Robert (Clarington Eagles, PJHL)
- Alex Hyde (Uxbridge Bruins, PJHL)
- Jacob Roach (Brantford 99ers, Stouffville Spirit, OJHL)
- Danielle Williams (Official, OHA) – First official to receive the bursary
