The OPP are issuing a reminder for bike and car owners to be safe out on the roads with the warm weather marking the return of motorcycles on the road.
44 motorcyclists died last year in collisions, the highest total since 2017.
Failing to yield right of way, excessive speed and inattentive driving are among the leading contributing factors in OPP-investigated motorcyclist fatalities over the past 10 years. Motorcyclists were at fault in 61 per cent of the fatalities, while the car drivers at fault for the rest.
The OPP is reminding motorcyclists to wear bright, protective equipment and clothing to increase their visibility to other motorists.
