Lennox and Addington County OPP is investigating a fatal collision that resulted in the death of one person.
Just before 2am April 22, officers responded to reports of a single vehicle collision on Highway 7, near Kellar Road, Addington Highlands Township.
Initial investigation indicates that the driver was eastbound on Highway 7 and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle ended up in the water of a nearby swampy area.
The 27-year-old driver from Gatineau was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger was transported to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
