A strike has been averted by school transportation planners, members of CUPE Local 1479, who have reached a tentative agreement with Tri-Board Student Transportation Services.
The potential strike was announced near the end of March, siting the union members are substantially underpaid compared to the school transportation planners employed by other transportation consortia in Ontario.
Union members will vote on ratification early this week.
