The Month of April has been declared ‘Be a Donor Month’ in the town of Greater Napanee.
Town Council passed the motion at their recent meeting.
As of the motion, April 7th has been proclaimed ‘Green Shirt Day’.
Green Shirt Day was created to honour, remember, and recognize all the victims and families of the tragic Humbolt Broncos crash, including defenceman Logan Boulet, who was an organ donor.
Since his passing in 2018, hundreds of thousands have taken that step to become a donor.
Community members are being encouraged to wear green April 7th.
