Environment Canada has issued a special weather alert for the area as lots of rain is on the way.
Officials are calling for 15 to 25 mm of rain beginning late Thursday afternoon and lasting through the night.
Localized ponding of water is expected in poorly drained areas.
Rain will then transition to snow Friday morning. A few centimeters of snow can be expected by Friday evening.
