Lennox and Addington OPP have arrested and charged five people following an attempted break and enter.
Shortly before 7am December 20th, officers responded to a residence on Dundas Street East in Greater Napanee.
The victim shared that five people wearing masks and carrying weapons caused damaged before fleeing.
During the investigation, officers searched a residence and two vehicles in Napanee, locating and seizing suspected Crystal Methamphetamine, Cocaine and Fentanyl, along with over $3300 in cash.
A 32-years-old and 37-years-old from Kingston, a 25-years-old from Lyndhurst, 36-years-old from Lindsay and a 22-years-old from Greater Napanee all face multiple including:
- Disguise with intent
- Assault with a weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Mischief
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
The accused from Lyndhurst and Greater Napanee were further charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, Methamphetamine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, Cocaine
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, Fentanyl
The accused from Lyndhurst was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in Court in Napanee at a later date. The other four accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
