The Napanee Raiders are continuing to impress fans, remaining undefeated after 16 games.
Friday, November 11th the Raiders hosted their L&A County rivals the Amherstview Jets at the Strathcona Paper Centre. First period was opened by a goal from the Jets, that was answered 13 seconds later by Napanee’s Cameron Krupa making it a 1-1 game. The second period also saw goals from Blake Aylsworth and Ben Carter for a 3-1 score. The second period was quieter, seeing just one goal from Amherstview. In the third period Amherstview tied the game at 3-3. Napanee answered that with two goals by Krupa and Aylsworth for a 5-3 final score.
Saturday, November 12th the Raiders hit the road to Campbellford to play the Rebels. The first period saw four goals for the Raiders from Aylsworth, Christos Chronis, Ben Carter and Ben White for a 4-0 score. Napanee scored two goals in the second period from Noah Jacobsen and Chronis for a 6-0 score. The Raiders win was finalized with two more goals in the third period from Michael Patrick and Maverick Labrie for an 8-0 final score.
The Napanee Raiders sit atop the East Tod Division standings with a 16-0 record and 32 points. In second place is the Jets who have 21 points and third place Picton with 12.
The Raiders will be back in action Friday, November 18th when they host the Picton Pirates at the SPC. Puck drop is 7:30pm. Then on Sunday they’ll play an earlier game in Amherstview against the Jets. Puck drop for this game will be at 1:30pm.
