The next council for the Town of Greater Napanee has been announced. The results are not yet official but will become official once they are certified and posted by the Clerk/Returning Officer. The results are expected to be confirmed Tuesday, October 25th around noon.
The next mayor for Greater Napanee is the acclaimed Terry Richardson, who served as councillor this past term for ward 2. Brian Calver has been voted in at the town’s new Deputy Mayor with 2402 votes. John McCormack received 1478 with Eric Depoe receiving 813.
Councillors have been voted in as follows:
- Ward 1 – Michael Schenk – 610 Votes
- Ward 2 – Angela Hicks – 429 Votes
- Ward 3 – Dave Pinnell Jr. – 388 Votes
- Ward 4 – Bob Norrie – 319 votes
- Ward 5 – Bill Martin – 285 Votes
The town reports a 37.3% voter turnout. Of 12,718 eligible electors, 4,742 cast their ballot.
The new term of council begins November 16, with the Inaugural Meeting taking place December 6.
