A heads up to Dog owners in Loyalist township. Council has tasked the Loyalist Township Dog Park Ad-Hoc Advisory Committee has shortlisted three parks for consideration for an off-leash dog park
Three parks are up for consideration, including Lakeview Park in Amherstview, Bath Park in Bath, and Centennial Park in Odessa.
To help the Committee’s recommendation to Council, the Committee and municipal staff will be hosting three in-person community drop-in consultations:
- October 25, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in Odessa (Council Chambers, Township Office, 263 Main St., Odessa)
- October 26, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in Bath (Bath Fire Hall, 241 Church St., Bath)
- October 27, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm in Amherstview (Amherstview Community Hall, 177 Upper Park Dr., Amherstview)
“It’s important for us to consider resident feedback when selecting the best location for the Loyalist Township Dog Park. Input received provides insights into the needs based on the personal experiences of those living in the community,” stated Loyalist Township Mayor, Jim Hegadorn. “If unable to attend, please complete the survey and forward the link for the survey to other Township residents interested in providing feedback on the potential location of the Loyalist Township Dog Park. Higher response rates will improve the data.”
Community members can also share their feedback via a short survey on the township’s website.
