Looking for something to do with the kids on the PA Day Monday? The Museum of Lennox and Addington is offering a program featuring a variety of activities for children to participate in.
myFM spoke with Alannah MacGregor, Program & Exhibition Co-ordinator, who says it’s going to be a fun and silly program. There will be a presentation all about mnemonic phrase’s to use to remember bird song.
They will also get to make bird seed, customizing what they’d like to add to attract specific birds. Parents should note this activity is not peanut-free.
The program theme and title, “For the Birds”, is inspired by the latest exhibit currently on display at the Museum, Amherst Island Owls & Other Canadian Wildlife.
There are two sessions available to choose from: 10:30am – 12pm, or 1:30pm – 3:00pm. The programs are best suited for children ages 4 – 12 years old. Registration is required in advance.
For more information about this event and to register, please call 613.354.3027 or visit their webpage.
