The 50th NAPA Auto Parts Super Dirt Week was a special one for Kingston Ontario racer Jessica Power. Out of 90 cars that tried to qualify for this past Sunday’s Chevy Performance 75 DIRTcar Sportsman race at Oswego Speedway, Power finished 8th. She says she was happy overall with her performance.
She says the teams was very excited to finish in the top 10 against some of the best in the sport.
Despite being one of the top Canadian drivers in the field, Power was quick to credit fellow Canadian Cody McPherson on winning the race.
Power said that track conditions were tough on Sunday and it was tough to pass cars but overall, her team was really happy with the finish, as they look forward to next year’s event at the Oswego oval.
