Local police are warning of a recent energy bill scam. Cybercriminals send emails, which offer you a refund on your latest bill. The email will show a link you can click to give personal information to get your refund back. Problem with this, is once the information is shared, the cybercriminals have your information and can steal your money. Some tips to watch for include, deadlines or scare tactics to try and share your information and if an off is too good to be true, it probably is.
