A local organization that supports local charities is returning in full swing after two years away due to the pandemic.
100+ Women Who Care Lennox & Addington is a group of women who come together four times a year to make donations to charities in Lennox and Addington County.
myFM spoke with Lori Morris, who tells us how they choose the charities they donate to.
Since they began in 2016, many local charities have benefitted from the generosity of this group of women. The very first donation the group made went to the Morningstar Mission.
100+ Women Who Care Lennox & Addington donates $10,000 after each meeting. Morris tells us members can make a donation on their own, or make a donation as part of a small group towards their $10,000 goal.
The group is welcoming back past members, but also encouraging new members to take part.
Their next meeting will be taking place at the Strathcona Paper Centre August 24th. Doors open at 6:30pm with the meeting beginning at 7:30pm. For more information, or to register, you can visit their website.
