The Napanee and District Chamber of Commerce are welcoming everyone to learn more about the history of the town of Greater Napanee and also hear the tales of things that go bump in the night.
myFM spoke with Chamber business manager Lisa Bird, who says she did the first History and Hauntings Tours walk around 2010 around Halloween time for the spooky feeling. After taking on her role with the chamber, it was thought this would be a great summer initiative.
Bird told us what everyone can expect from taking part in a History and Hauntings Tour this summer.
The walk begins from Napanee Town Hall and includes stops like the County court house and museum, and MacPherson House.
The walks will begin Tuesday August 9th and will take place every Tuesday and Friday evenings at 6:00pm this summer and early into the fall. There is a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for students aged 8 to 15, and anyone under the age of 8 is free. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Bird at businessmanager@napaneechamber.ca or by calling 613-354-6601.
Anyone interested in taking part is encouraged to come dressed for the weather, as this event takes place rain or shine.
