In her time as an elected official, Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman is looking forward to spending her first summer as MP meeting constituents, addressing their concerns, and attending events around H-L&A.
Kramp-Neuman shared some highlights of this past session: pressuring the government into passing C-12 which ensures no future GIS clawbacks for current COVID-19 benefits; serving on the Standing Committee on the Status of Women and the Standing Committee on Health; and advancing Canada’s interests on the global stage by serving on Parliamentary Friendship Groups with Africa, the Commonwealth, France, Ireland, NATO, Japan, the United Kingdom, and others. She also pointed to the urgent and ongoing work of holding the Government accountable on the record increase of inflation and cost of living, which is affecting everyone in H-L&A. Kramp-Neuman says she considers it a special privilege to have risen nearly 200 times to read the concerns of her constituents into the record.
Her offices in Napanee and Ivanhoe will remain open during the summer.
