The Ontario Provincial Police say they are moving record checks online.
Anyone who lives in an OPP-policed community will be able to requests for police record checks on their website, opp.ca/recordchecks, starting next Monday.
They will allow for criminal record checks, vulnerable sector check and non-parent custody checks.
The fees for record checks remain unchanged:
- Record checks: $41.00
- Fingerprints: $90.00
- Volunteer checks: free
Additional information will be available for the public at opp.ca/recordchecks as of June 13, 2022.
